Goliath Research Division
Led by the ruthless Director Soren, Goliath’s special research division is a covert department dedicated to the acquisition of new technology by any means necessary. Their successes over the years and value brought to the company have afforded them very little oversight from the board, allowing Soren to operate as she sees fit. Now their main focus is the study of any Dream Eater technology that can be salvaged from Klo’s battles with the creatures.
Sydney3 Police Force
As the blunt instrument of Goliath’s control over Sydney3, the armed patrol officers of the S3PF are a lethal, militarised force that act swiftly and harshly towards the civilians of the city. With outposts and checkpoints densely scattered across Sydney3, it is impossible to go a day without being stopped and aggressively searched by an S3PF officer.
Faux/Pass
Enigmatic hackers that sport high-tech Kabuki masks and dress like school delinquents. The group is dedicated to the destruction of Goliath, believing that the only way to change the future for the better is to remove the corruption at the centre of the city. After a string of Mass Hack incidents involving the unlawful hijacking of civilian neural augments, Faux/Pass have been designated a terrorist group by S3PF.
Hornsby Devils
For youth growing up in Sydney3, joining one of the many small-time street gangs is a necessary means of survival. Among these gangs that thrive in the lower levels are the Hornsby Devils, a relatively harmless group that sport horn-like augments to show their gang affiliation.
Tusk motor Club
Obsessed with the smell of burning rubber, TUSK Motor Club are a group devoted to the acquisition and preservation of automotive vehicles from before the first resource war. While they mostly keep to themselves and their clubhouse on the ruined Harbour Bridge, something has sent them into a frenzy, becoming increasingly hostile to the other citizens of Sydney3.
Mechanised Workers Union
Disenfranchised factory workers from the industrial sectors of Sydney3, this band of robotic people have formed a collective in hopes of securing equal rights and better working conditions. While the group is mostly composed of mechanical people, they are known to allow members who strongly align with their values and wish to help.
Hi-Lifers
Born into luxury and destined for high-paying jobs without the necessary qualifications, the citizens of the upper levels live extravagant lifestyles. Status and interpersonal politics are the primary concern of the city’s elite as they go about their days adorned in cutting edge fashion, free from the hardship that plagues the majority of Sydney3’s population.
Doomerz
Convinced that the world’s decline is the result of the younger generations straying from traditional values, the Doomerz are a group of zealots that idolise a fictionalised version of history. In their hopeless regression, they have formed a religious order of knights and clerics with an emphasis rigid gender roles for their members.
